He took a 3 month break upon arrival to Arizona from November 1, 2009 to February 6, 2010 due to a family illness. On August 13, 2010 Al walked into the coastal waters of the Atlantic Ocean at Annapolis, MD. His walk lasted 220 days and he walked 3,188 miles.
